SERVER RULES

Rules, Why we have them...
At ContinuumXI, we believe that clear, thoughtful guidelines help everyone enjoy a positive and memorable gaming experience. Our rules are designed to ensure fair play, maintain a respectful community, and keep the spirit of adventure alive for all. By understanding and embracing these guidelines, we can create a welcoming environment where every player feels valued and free to explore. Thank you for being a vital part of our community and helping us make ContinuumXI a fun and safe space for all.
RMT (Real Money Trading)
The sale, purchase, or trade of in-game currency, items, or accounts for real-world money is prohibited. Any participation in real-money trading (RMT) transactions will lead to disciplinary measures, which may include permanent account termination. We strive to keep the game fair and enjoyable for all players.
Exploiting Bugs and Game Mechanics
Abusing unintended game mechanics or exploiting bugs to gain an unfair advantage is forbidden. If you discover a bug, report it to the Game Masters (GMs) rather than using it for personal gain. Exploiting known issues can lead to suspensions or bans.
Add-ons and Third-Party Tools
The use of unauthorized third-party tools like gameplay modifiers, automation software, or unfair advantage-granting programs is prohibited. Add-ons providing strictly visual enhancements that don't impact gameplay mechanics are allowed, though they are at the player's own discretion and risk.
Botting and Automation
Automating any aspect of gameplay, including but not limited to fishing, crafting, combat, or farming, is strictly prohibited. Violations will lead to disciplinary measures, which may include permanent account termination.
Harassment and Hate Speech
Harassment, hate speech, or discriminatory behavior—including offensive remarks about race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or other personal attributes—will not be tolerated. Violations may result in disciplinary action, potentially including permanent account termination.
Griefing
Intentionally training monsters onto other players or groups, whether to cause their defeat or disrupt their gameplay, is prohibited. Disruptive behavior that negatively impacts others, including repeated kill-stealing, excessive spawn camping, or interfering with progression, is also considered griefing. While competition is inherent to FFXI, intentionally making the game unplayable for others will result in disciplinary action.
Advertising
Promoting non-server-related content, such as private servers, RMT services, in-game mercenary services, or unrelated commercial products, is not allowed. Please keep discussions about other communities within private messages.
Yell and Shout Regulations
The /yell and /shout channels should be used for meaningful communication, including group recruitment, event coordination, and friendly discussions. Excessive spamming, trolling, or any disruptive behavior in these channels will result in disciplinary action, ranging from temporary mutes to permanent bans.
Creating GM Tickets
Please use the GM ticket system responsibly by submitting tickets only for valid concerns, including bug reports, rule violations, or legitimate assistance requests. Misuse of the system through spam, false reports, or trivial submissions may result in disciplinary measures.
Inappropriate Character Naming
Names containing offensive, obscene, or inflammatory content will be subject to forced renaming. Impersonation of notable players, GMs, or in-game NPCs is strictly prohibited.
Disregarding Game Master Instructions
GMs are here to help maintain a positive game environment. Failure to follow their direct instructions, particularly during investigations or rule enforcement, will result in disciplinary action. If you disagree with a GM's decision, please submit a formal appeal rather than disregarding their authority.
